Retrofit
When Mechanical Performance is still present, Upgrading is Inexpensive and Convenient.
Used old parts should not be considered declassed - Replace the Old Numerical Control
Periodically, in every engineering workshop, some machinery are subject to extraordinary overhaul to keep them efficient and to guarantee the standards of machining precision, possibly without impacting production continuity. The main dilemma of the managers is whether to replace one or more machines or to give them new life by one or more of the following improvements:
- extraordinary mechanical overhaul of the machine (revamping) to try to bring the machine back to a performance similar to the one it had when it was new;
- technological update which involves the replacement of the axis control and movement parts, by replacing some electrical and electronic components with others from the same manufacturer, technologically updated, with similar functions, that do not entail changes in the functions and the software of the machine. In this case, there is no need to change the programming system of the machine and there is no need for new training for the operators;
- partial or complete replacement of all electrical and control parts (retrofit), in this case the machine can perform even better than when it was new, especially if the intervention is accompanied by the installation of accessories which at the time of the first installation did not exist or were not purchased.
WHY RETROFITTING?
A retrofit allows a noticeable increase in the performance of your machine:
- Increased productivity by reducing the number of faults (MTBF) and the downtime required for repairs
- Faster processing cycles and increased quality
- Greater accuracy and simplified programming
- Up-to-date state-of-the-art technology
- Greater availability of spare parts
Ease of connection
D.Electron CNCs are provided with a standard Ethernet network connection, this allows the end user to connect his machine tool to the production network, to the technical office, or to monitor the machine remotely in unattended operation mode.
D.Electron retrofits with the aid of Specialists, by offering a Technical Consult and its CNC ready for the third millennium, with over 30 years of activity in the workshops. The machine downtime, in case of replacing the CNC alone, is very little: 2 or 3 days.
